productivity, but make it kind.
My biggest learning after coaching all kinds of people for nearly a year wasn’t what I thought it’d be.
Or maybe it was—because it’s something I struggled with myself for so much time.
How often do you feel like you’ve gotten nothing done? But have you really?
When my clients tell me that, we usually end up with a whole list of things they did, in fact, get done.
They were just too busy to notice, their expectations were a little over the top, or their self-doubt snuck in.
So, how about we try something different in the new year? All this tough love we give ourselves—it’s not working.
Research backs this up, too. self-compassion doesn't just sound nice, it actually helps us get more done.
It might seem a little backward, but slowing down, noticing what we've already achieved (especially when life is messy), and being a little softer with ourselves actually helps us go further.
Being kind to ourselves doesn’t mean giving up when things get tricky. It’s about checking in with ourselves, figuring out what we need, and keeping burnout away.
If you’re looking for some extra support with that, I’m here. Coaching is all about creating space to be kind to yourself and focus on what you care most about.
