about me, the founder.
Coaching is all about getting personal. So, I thought it's only fair that I share a little more about myself too. I’m Silja, and I wrote a few lines about my story below. But, if you're curious to learn more about my journey and how I can support yours, don't hesitate to reach out. I'd love to hear more about you.
my (SWEET) SPOT
From the very start, I felt that the professional world didn't have a place for me. After completing my master's degree, I worked in several well-known companies but struggled with imposter syndrome and the need to prove my worth. My career path wasn’t intentional, and my introverted and perfectionist self felt out of place at most meetings and outings. After a decade of corporate experience—plus a big move, a burnout, and a layoff—I found my sweet spot. Through valuable certifications, therapy, and many hours of self-study, I built my resilience and productivity by implementing self-compassion and boundaries. Owning a company was one of those items on the “never going to happen”-list, but here we are. I love stretching my comfort zone more and more, and I wish the same for you.
A bit MORE
I was born on Switzerland's sunny (and Italian-speaking) side and eventually moved to Zurich to obtain my master's in communication management and sociology. Right after that, I worked in public relations and project management. At first, I participated in developing programs for teens experiencing poverty and violence, and later, I moved on to partnering with popular digital brands to launch accessible camps for young talent from disadvantaged communities.
A few years into my career, I packed my bags and moved to Amsterdam, shifting to working remotely as a marketing specialist and an editor. Feeling like I was missing out on experiencing my new home country, I joined a fast-paced tech scale-up and shifted into a technical recruitment role. After a few years of work and a burnout, I moved to a different company, expanded my skills in employer branding, and got more and more engaged in promoting inclusive practices. A company restructuring and consequent layoff marked the end of my corporate experience and the start of the wholesome growth club.
