about the practice
how does it work?
Integrating coaching techniques with resourcing practices gathered through trauma-informed training and inclusivity workshops, the wholesome growth club views career coaching as more than “just about work.” The approach is all-encompassing, considering the coachee’s emotional well-being, values, and life goals. Rooted in co-active coaching, it's not about giving ready-made solutions. Instead, the practice fosters a collaborative partnership, empowering you to explore your choices and find answers that genuinely resonate with you. Systemic inequalities are addressed without sugarcoating them, and the coaching is adapted to you.
is coaching for me?

At the wholesome growth club, we tackle both the practical and emotional aspects of these changes. -
A safe and confidential space where you can reflect on your present life and future goals without judgment. Depending on where you are on your journey, we’ll be touching on different topics and questions during your session, and you’ll be reflecting on how to move closer to your goals. If you wish, I’ll also keep you busy with insightful tasks between our sessions.
-
There are a few questions you can ask yourself to find out. First, are you looking to change something about your situation, specifically how you show up in your professional life? If that’s a yes—how would you feel about putting some work into changing things up? Are you still on board? Then, we should get things started. It’s always good to remember that reaching your goals takes commitment and courage. But if you sign up for coaching, I’ll be there to support you at every step.
-
That’s unlikely. Certified coaches are trained to coach people, not topics—so we’ll be touching on life more often than not. Plus, work is a big part of life—it can give us meaning and reflect our values. But remember that the only topics discussed in coaching are the ones you are comfortable sharing something about.
-
Big no. Therapy is meant to treat a mental health issue. You work through past experiences with a healthcare professional and explore ways to improve your well-being. Coaching focuses mostly on the present and the future and is all geared up to help you reach those goals that are meaningful to you. It’s less about healing and more about (softly) challenging you to build the life you want and keeping you accountable while doing so. If accessible to you, they can both be part of a great support system when it comes to dealing with life.
-
Co-active coaching is a highly collaborative approach centered on self-discovery and awareness, avoiding prescriptive techniques or advice in favor of authentic answers. Co-active coaches actively listen, employing sensitive communication to understand body language, show acceptance, and validate feelings—fostering effective relationships and encouraging clients to own their experiences by addressing root causes over surface-level problems. This nonjudgmental approach respects diverse perspectives, enabling meaningful conversations that promote change and personal growth.
